Animal print is all the rage. Cheetah, zebra and even antelope inspired prints have all found their way into wardrobes and homes. It can be bold or subtle, literal or abstract. There’s something for everyone!
As I look back over the many interiors we have designed, it’s easy to see that animal prints pop up everywhere, in all rooms of the house and in all forms. Look around your own home. Even if you can’t find an actual cheetah print, chances are you have a pattern inspired by the natural beauty and balance of animal prints.
Of course, we always love a literal interpretation, like these zebra print chairs. Reinterpreted in a fabulous shade of blue, they are the perfect accent to an otherwise neutral space.
Likewise, this living room ottoman and library chair take these spaces to the next level.
Rugs are a great way to incorporate an animal print. There are so many beautiful options right now. You can find one that is perfect for your family room, bedroom, kids room or the always fabulous stair runner.
I love it when cheetah pops up in a place where you least expect it. We added cheetah cushions to antique chairs in this formal dining room, like a playful wink that says their dinner parties are always a lot of fun!
There is so much animal print in fashion right now, I could literally fill pages of great finds! And, since we borrowed from the The Wizard of Oz for our title, I thought you should know that you can now have your very own ruby slippers, available from Mansur Gavriel. Glitter shoes and boots, oh my!
